Chief Operating Officer of McEwan Mining and seasoned mining executive with 50+ years of management and experience in all facets of mine design, construction and operations, in 1980, Mr. Shaver founded Dynatec, now one of the leading contracting
and miner operating groups in North America. He was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year in 2013 for his dedication to advancing mining innovation.

Brian Montgomery

Director

Recognized for his expertise in all aspects of mining, corporate, real estate and business law, Mr. Montgomery is Counsel at MLA Law in the Business Law Group. He is also a former partner and head of the Commercial and Corporate Group at Weaver, Simmon LLP.

Alger St. Jean

Director

Mr. St-Jean has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry primarily on exploration and development stage projects for base metals and gold.  Until 2025, Mr. St-Jean served in executive roles on the Dumont Nickel Project, most recently as Senior Vice President, Resource Sustainability for Dumont Nickel and was responsible for exploration and resource definition, community and First Nations relations, and permitting.  From 2014 to 2023, Mr. St-Jean also served in senior roles at Orford Mining (acquired by Alamos Gold), working on nickel and gold exploration projects in Nunavik including initiation of comprehensive exploration of the Qiqavik Gold prospect. Prior to 2007, Mr. St-Jean was a Senior Geologist for Xstrata Nickel (formerly Falconbridge), where he was responsible for the management, design, and implementation of nickel exploration and development programs in numerous jurisdictions worldwide. Mr. St-Jean holds a Master of Science degree from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis Xavier University. He is a professional geologist registered with the Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO).  Mr. St-Jean is currently a director of Kharrouba Copper Company Inc. (Private). 

Mark Goodman

Director

Mr. Goodman's extensive experience in the mining and capital markets,as well as strong background in corporate development, finance, and strategic growth is a valuable addtion to the SPC Nickel team. Mark’s prior roles include serving as President of Dundee Corporation (TSX: DC.A), a public Canadian independent holding company and SPC Nickel's largest shareholder (36%).
